Frisky attended Thomas Jefferson High School where his was well liked and loved music. His ambition was to be a musician. After graduation, he went to work for Jersey Central Railroad as a mail sorter. In 1951 Johnson was inducted into the Army of the United States Armed Forces where he was in the Korean War as a Morse code operator. In 1953, he was transferred to the Army Reserve. He was employed by the United States Post Office in Newark, NJ as a Postal inspector and later worked in the registry department. He retired from the Post Office in 1988. Johnny met the love of his life Renee in 1979 and they married in 1986. Johnny had a quiet spirit and Renee well, they say opposite attracts right. Although Johnny went through some health issues, Renee was right there by his side. They attended church together, travel together and Johnny was the highlight at bowling alley with the Bowling Mrs. Johnny was very active in the community. He helped with Samaritan’s Grief and Support mailings each month. Johnny and Renee were inseparable. You never saw one without the other. There wedding day was perfect. When Renee and Johnny took their vow, the pastor asks Renee to repeat these words that would forever change the way she would take care of Johnny. Those words were to death do you part. From that day, Renee had made a promise to God to always give her husband the best care a person could get. Johnny was a Member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church in 1995 where he served under the United Methodist men. He was a member of VFW 8003, ready to place flags on veteran’s graves. Johnny always accompanied his wife to bible study, vacation bible school or any ministry where his wife served. He was right there by her side. Johnny and Renee joined Grace Temple Baptist church in 2018. Johnny did not say much but he knew God and God knew him. Johnny and Renee both enjoyed attending their Thursday bible study learning all they could about the word of God. Johnny also got involved with Vacation Bible School and Grace Temple Food distribution. Johnny leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife Renee of Deptford, NJ; surviving sisters: Emma Ziegler of Montclair, NJ and Gloria Millard of Stockbridge, GA., preceded in death by brothers Clarence Simpson, Grady Simpson, his sisters Mattie White and Alma Jackson.
