Sinah Priscilla Thompson was born May 14, 1934 in Camden, New Jersey from the union of the late Edith Mae (Donaldson) Hughes and Gardner Hughes Sr. She was the fifth child of nine children. She received her education in the Camden School System. As a young girl she took on employment cleaning homes. She was married to the late Frank Thompson Sr. in 1952 and from that union they raised eighteen children in the City of Camden. She was totally dedicated to her children in all aspects of their lives. She worked on and off at Bonnell's Dress Company on Kaighns Avenue in Camden, NJ as a seamstress and remained a loving wife and mother. Once all of her children graduated from Elementary School, she took on employment at BPUM Daycare Center as a cook. Putting all her love and care into each meal until her retirement. Sinah loved the Lord and dedicated her life to Serving God. She was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the Gift of the Holy Ghost at the tender age of eighteen years old. She served under the late. Bishop John Andrew Henry, Pastor and Overseer of the True Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Camden NJ until his death. She remained devoted to her faith and served under the late Bishop John Wesley Allen Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Camden, NJ until his death, and remained a member under his son Bishop John W. Allen Jr. She congregated at Pastor Gino N. Jennings, First Church of our Lord Jesus Christ, Phila. PA when God called her home. She enjoyed singing, sewing, painting, drawing, cleaning and cooking. Reading the Bible and serving God faithfully was her life and her passion. She often said I have to pay my tithes and offerings and would put that money to the side first. Sinah was well known, loved and respected throughout the community. The Lord called Sinah P. Thompson home on September 25, 2020. She will be sorrowfully missed. She leaves to mourn sixteen surviving children Priscilla (Virgil) Williams, Cynthia Green , Frank( Vanessa) Thompson Jr., Blaine Thompson, Rosanne(Ronald) Jennings, Quinzel(Lamar) Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Joanne(Thomas) Stevens, Denise(Herman) Bass, Diana(Tyrone) Russell, Annette Thompson, Neal ( Davada) Thompson, Francis Thompson, Juliana Thompson, Sylvia Thompson, Sinah Thompson . Her two sons Keith Wayne Thompson and Mark Emery Thompson preceded her in death. She has over 100 Grandchilren, and abundance of great and great great grandchildren. Three loving sisters Emma Brewer, Delores Brown, Alease Causey . Her four brothers Gardner Hughes Jr. Theodore Hughes, Claudius Hughes , Albert Hughes and sister Elizabeth Hickson preceded her in death. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the Saints of God. To God Be the Glory!
