Obituary of Helen L. Stafford

Obituary for Helen Stafford Sunrise Sunset Nov. 3, 1946 Sept.24, 2020 Helen Louise Stafford, 73 peacefully departed at home on September 24, 2020. She was born in Bridgeton, NJ to the late William and Anna Lloyd. She was a member of the Union Baptist Temple. Helen was a great cook and caregiver, she always opened her door and home to everyone. She worked numerous jobs over the years including Owens Illinois and Four Star Factory. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her children, Darek(Chantel)Stafford, Daryl(Dequan)Stafford, Ryan(Tamara)Stafford, Sandra Stafford, Cheryl(Kevin)Overton, Takisha Stafford, Shitia Brantley-Stafford and Marcus Fowler and one God-daughter Wanda Brown. Surviving also are 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth(Willie)Hart and Thelma(Billy)Scott. Two sister in-laws Brenda and Betty Stafford and one brother in-law Willie Stafford, her lifelong companion Eddie Jones, and her close cousin Mildred "Nikki" Cross. She was predeceased by her daughter Estella Ann Fowler, a brother Russell Fowler, her late ex-husband Henry Stafford, her great grandson Ryan Stafford and her nephew Willie Hart Jr. She has a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers Daryl Stafford Jr. Tymere Bailey Darek Stafford Jr. Gary Pender Jermaine Ford Desmond Overton Services will be held at In His Image Church, 335 Gouldtown-Woodruff Rd., Bridgeton, NJ 08302, Friday, Oct. 2, 2020 at 11am. interment will be held at Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction f the Mays Funeral Home, 138 West Landis Ave., Vineland, NJ 08360. The repass ceremony will be held at the Young People's Progressive Club, 1153 Bridgeton-Millville Pike, Bridgeton, NJ 08302 following the ceremony.
