Obituary of Michael T. James

Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Michael T. James was born in Camden, New Jersey on Monday, August 20, 1962. Michael lived in Camden, New Jersey before relocating to Pennsauken, New Jersey where he lived with his wife and granddaughter. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1980. After high school, he took a few classes at Glassboro State College before enlisting in the army for a short period of time. In 1996, he married Rebecca James, his best friend since high school. Two years later, Michael and Rebecca moved into their very first home together – a home he took pride and joy in maintaining. Michael was a hard worker and was proud of providing for his family. He worked as an Operator at Camuto Group based in West Hampton, New Jersey. Prior to Camuto Group, Michael worked as a store manager at Home Depot for several years. When Michael was not working or laughing with his wife, he loved to watch CNN, work on his favorite vintage car, and spend time with his grandchildren - whom he spoiled to no end. A devoted son and brother, Michael always made time to visit his mother, sister, and niece, Sade, often. Michael was the epitome of a good husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He truly cared deeply for those he loved. He had a cool, calm demeanor, an infectious laugh, and a smile that would light up the room. Michael will be truly missed by everyone who loved him. Michael leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Rebecca; his mother, Edith; his father Theodore (deceased); his brother, Keith; his sister, Shanique; his daughters, Tameka, Ayisha, and LaShaniece; his grandchildren, LaDasha, Jayden, Jackson, Faithe-Mari, Maxwell, and Sophia; his son-in-law, Stephen; his sisters-in-law, Doris, Diane (deceased), Queen Esther, Denise (deceased), and Maria; his brothers-in-law, William (deceased), David, John, and Mark; his close friend, Maurice; his close family members, Tyeka and Kinya; his aunts Maude, Rose, Baby Mae (deceased), Lizzie (deceased), Emma, Delores, and Elise; his uncle, June; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other loved ones.
