ABDULLAB AHMAD POLLITT entered this life on August 1, 1985 and went home to Glory on November 10, 2020. He is the son of Charlie A. Williams and the late Tiffany Pollitt. Although he is affectionately well-known as Abdul, he was given many dearing names as he grew to melt our hearts with his adoring personality, quiet spirit, and soft temperament. “Doobie”, as Grandpop John called him, attended Somerdale No. 1 School in Somerdale, NJ. When the family moved Camden, he continued his education within the Camden School District graduating from Camden High School in Camden, NJ. CAREER, ACHIEVEMENTS, AND FAMILY! Abdul worked in various fields of employment for quite a few years before gaining meaningful employment at Aluminum Shades in Delair, NJ. He completed engineering training through a program with the Camden Housing Authority, where he was ultimately employed in the City of Camden, NJ “Pole Shaker”, as Uncle Pos called him loved to sit around with his Uncles and listen to old family stories. He really enjoyed the bonding time with his older family members; he really like soaking up the history. But when it was time to play and hangout with his brothers and cousins, aww man you should see him light up anxiously, smiling, joking, just looking to have good times and have those moments to cherish and to someday sit and tell his son. “Dad”, as only Mom-Mom called him loved the Roller Coaster ride as a child. We would spend plenty of summers taking him to carnivals and amusement parks, just so he can get the thrill of seeing all the lights and riding roller coasters. After every family dinner, Abdul would initiate the card games; “Spades”, “Tunk”, or “Pitty Pat” he didn’t care which game he played, because he knew he was going to win amongst the kids, since he use to sit and learn from his Uncles. Doobie also enjoyed playing basketball, baseball, and listening to music. Some of his favorite artists were “Styles P”, “DMX”, and “Lucy Luxx” (Turk). Abdul will NOT be remembered; however, for the Art of ‘Dancing’, as he could not ‘Cut a Step’(LOL). PRE- DECEASED FAMILY Abdul joins The Heavenly Host with his Mother, Tiffany Pollitt; Paternal Grandfather, John Alexander, Sr.; Great Grandparents, Robert and Edna Williams; Uncle John Alexander III (AKA “John John”); Great Uncle Guy Williams (AKA “Uncle Pos”); and close cousin Turqoise (AKA “Turk”).
