Jymi was not only my brother in law, he was my friend. I remember one time we went to DC. There was a peace march. We had some peace sign stickers and a few other items to sell. Once we set up on a corner, we started selling the peace sign stickers for 50c. Some people came through and didn’t have any money. We gave away some and changed our sign to any donation. When that happened, some people gave us way more than we were asking. One guy even donated $10. We made out better than expected. There are many more memories and as a young kid, he helped in my growth to become a man. He’ll be missed.

DearUncle Jymi,
Thank you for being such a force in my childhood. Growing up you made sure we all understood we have a voice, our lives mattered & oh yes- Black is beautiful. I learned a love of books, music & Civil rights. These lessons have never been forgotten & although its been a long time since I last saw you- I’ve always remembered the fun times we had growing up; I remember your stand at the Gallery & how we got to work there- so much fun. God bless you on your next journey. Rest In Peace & Power
