Obituary of Edith Frances Branch

Edith Francis Branch (Nee Gamble) was born in Philadelphia PA on February 22, 1929 to Eunice and George Gamble, Sr. Edith graduated from West Philadelphia High School in 1946 and in 1947 Edith went to work for Alvah Bushnell Co. in Philadelphia until 1969. At Alvah Bushnell is where Edith met her late husband Earl Branch. From this union five children were born Ricardo, Rochelle, Jeffrey, Bruce and Marc. Edith worked at OEO in Camden as an intake worker. Edith also worked for the City of Camden in the Register of Deeds Department where she retired in 1990. Edith was also a devoted member of the St. Johns Baptist Church in Camden New Jersey. She joined around 1995. She was also active with the Clothing Ministry and the Floral Club. Some of Edith’s hobbies and likes where traveling, shopping, dining, cooking and hosting family and friends at her home. Edith was preceeded in death by her late husband Earl and son Ricardo. Edith leaves to mourn her daughter Rochelle Carmichael(Tony), Jeffrey Branch ( Ann Marie), Bruce Branch (Annette), Marc Branch and her and grandchildren: Andria Gamble, Tamika Sorrell, Austin Branch, Marie Clair Dwyer, Jason Branch, Kristina Girod, Krystal Branch, and Bruce Branch, Jr. Great-grand Children: Mekhi Gamble, Iman Gamble, Mahogory Gamble. Edith also leaves a host of other grandchildren and great grand-children, nieces, nephews, along with a host of loving friends. Along with a very special friend Louise Mitchell.
