First I want to send my condolences to the family and friends of Dee. Many of you may not know me but I am and extended sister (Regina)of the family. I remember when we Lamont, Melinda and I would come vist the family, Dee would take us to the ice cream store around the corner and we would laugh and play allday. She has truly been and wonder big sister through the years. I been going through some thing and she would always call and check in on me never once telling me she to was going through too. I will miss you Dee and cherishes the memories we had.

Denise, your passing was such a shock to me because you were always so filled with life. I miss the conversations we had about college basketball, boxing, current events, and other topics. There were many times where the best thing about my workday revolved around some conversation or debate you had with me or our other colleagues. You listened without judgement and treated everyone regardless of title with the same level of respect. Your kindness and spirit will be forever missed. Rest in peace.

My dear sister I love you so much. I helped raise you from a child. I remember when you were a kid, and I used to take you to school, but one day you and your sister said we can go by ourselves. You didn't know that your older sister was watching you guys to make sure you both got to school safe. Love you very much and rest in peace.
Your older sister Julia Boyd.

I will miss my Aunt Dee. I have a few memories as a child. She was kind to my sister and I as children. My family moved away when I was young and thus a close relationship was out of reach. I appreciate that just after my mom (Barbara Dixon) passed, my aunt Dee began calling me more frequently and I would call her as well. We would be talking sometimes well over an hour about some of everything, including trips down memory lane about when I was a kid. I enjoyed our conversations immensely. My aunt Dee never mentioned she was sick, so I had no idea she would be gone so soon. My plans to call her and enjoy another jammed packed with fun phone visit were shattered, when I received the sad news that she was no longer with us. This was so shocking and unreal, let alone hurtful to my heart. But, I am thankful for my small window of time with her, thanks to her initiative. She was fun to converse with and I will remember our time spent through the colorful conversations we shared.
I send all my love and prayers to my cousin Luke.

So many wonderful memories of Denise! She was a true socialite and could connect with anybody. Make you smile when you were down. Or laugh when you were angry. She could brighten any room and was always the life of the party. Your energy, spirit, and friendship touched us all. Too soon we lost you. You will be missed!

It broke my heart to hear about Denise's passing and I can only imagine how devastating this time of loss of grief must be for her family and friends. My prayers are with all of you as you lay her to rest. I pray that the memories and smiles she shared over her short years will bring some comfort during this difficult time.
Denise was a mother, daughter, friend and so much more. She had a sweet soul, a huge heart and a kind smile. She loved basketball and could spout statistics like a pro.
Some of my best memories from high school are times I spent with Denise on the basketball court. Hours & hours of practices filled with hard work but also side splitting laughs. Those are times I’ll never forget.
It breaks my heart that I didn’t know she was sick but I’m thankful she was surrounded by family & friends when needed. She was a fighter so I know she fought to the very end. But God saw she was suffering and called her home to rest in his sweet, loving arms. Now there’s no more pain, only paradise.
She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Rest in Paradise, my friend! ❤️❤️❤️
