Mrs. Kimbrough: Mona, would you like a hot dog or a hamburger?
Mona: Both please.
Mrs. Kimbrough: OK.
I miss her already. I hate using past tense.
She was and remains a significant pillar of my childhood. Oh to be a good person! She made it seem so simple.
She was a great Mom to children whose folks sometimes weren't around, and especially children who talked way too much and ate all of her food. To be loved, and to love. To give to others without them feeling awkward or embarrassed. She gave me many spiritual lessons, as well as friendship in my adult years.
My deepest sympathy to the family, and all who loved her.
xoxo,
Mona

Karen we have such wonderful, fond and loving memories of your mom! She was a dear friend to me, my wife and our family. I worked with Eva for several years at the Hall of Justice ! Even after my retirement she and I continued to stay in touch. I enjoyed our conversations and she never ended a call without saying “let me speak to Shellie so I can hear the r”real truth”. Your mom was a a great friend to us! Our deepest condolences to you and your family. Know that we are praying for you! Thank you for sending us the connection to be able to join in and celebrate her life via this livestream .

Elva and I worked together for many years for Camden County Consumer Affairs. She always stepped up to the plate to help other staff member’s and always had a big smile on her face that was contagious.

Yes I agree with Pat about Elva too! Elva became a very good friend her house was always opened for me and my three children. We talked for hours, watched tv, etc etc. We laughed and shared so many things. Elva was a true friend in the office and out. I love you all Karen, Kathy, Robbie and family.
