Obituary Margaret Ella Mae Kearns (Billie Currence) was born in Gastonia, North Carolina on October 7, 1927 to her late parents, Miles Currence and Stella Scott Currence. Creating A Legacy Margaret attended school in Gaston County. She married her late husband, Clyde Gist. She moved to Newark, NJ with some of her children, Robert, Evon and Elvis and later her eldest son, James moved with her from the South. She had a total of 13 children. Ten of her children preceded her in death. Margaret Kearns was a caregiver for most of her adulthood. She helped her neighbors with different errands and tasks. Margaret loved to cook for her family and friends. In her spare time she loved to travel to Atlantic City. She loved to dance and shout “YEAH BABY!” She was the youngest of 19 children preceded in death by all. Her late sister, Garnell C. Reid was second to last. She passed May 30, 2019. Margaret moved to South Jersey with her daughter, Evon in 2016. She lived her last days in Pleasantville, NJ More Than Enough Margaret Kearns leaves behind her legacy 3 children. Linda, Evon, and Elvis. Her grandchildren, Sharon, Jefferey, Nicole, Rahim (Ashia). Her grandchildren, Zakee, Jamillah, Ishmael, Liberty, Kimiyah, Alsamar, Tashai and Nori. Nori the newest addition to her legacy was born on October 7, 2020. Also she leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grand children
