Obituary of Jean M. Wright

Jean Wright, daughter of the late Deacon John Wright, Sr. and Deaconess Alberta Wright, was born in Magnolia, NJ on August 18th, 1937. She departed this life on January 5th, 2021 at the Advanced Subacute Rehabilitation Center in Sewell, New Jersey. Jean was a product of the Magnolia and Haddon Heights School Districts. She accepted Christ at an early age, and was baptized by the late J. H. Hampton at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Magnolia, New Jersey. She worked at Wilson’s Dry Cleaners in Magnolia, New Jersey and was also a domestic engineer at various homes in Haddonfield, New Jersey. Jean loved and cared for many of her nieces and nephews as they lived at the family homestead at some point in their lives. She was also a dutiful caretaker for her mother who lived to be 99 years old. Anyone who was ever blessed by the life of her sister, Mable Wright, had Jean and her twin sister, Joan, to thank for working in the background and supporting Mable in all of her endeavors. The 23rd Psalm, her favorite portion of scripture, was read to her just before her peaceful passing. Jean was loved by many and will be sorely missed. She leaves to mourn her passing: Her devoted sister, Joan; her nieces Janine Gourdine, Sherrie Blue, Gloria Middleton, Charlene Wright, Earlene Wright; her nephews Larry Gourdine, Michael T. Martin, Sr. (Tracey), Eugene L. Martin, Jr. and a host of cousins, friends and great nieces and nephews.
