Obituary of Carmen Santiago

We are gathered here today in memory of our mother Carmen E. Santiago. She was born on May 9th, 1944 in Barceloneta Parcelas Imbery, Puerto Rico to the late Pedro Rios and Eulalia Pagan She is survived by her husband Jesus Santiago Jr. of 34 years, Her children: Roberto Mulero Jr., Pamela Castaneda, Linda Mulero. 10 Grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two siblings: Raymond Rios, and Magdalena Rios and a host of nieces and nephews. She loved life, she endured many trails in her life and never le them stop her. She pushed through and persevered through it all. She helped many people along the way. Mom made sure her children were well taken care of and would go without just for them to have. She also accepted Christ as her Lord and savior. Carmen loved the outdoors, and traveling to many places. She coordinated all of the events for her family and friends. She enjoyed her summers and weekends down the shore at the Tamerlane Camp Ground Ocean View, New Jersey. She enjoyed singing all types of music, going to concerts, dancing, plays, etc. Carmen took part in advocating for Camden County Women’s Cancer screening Project to help other sisters united to fight for the cure to beat breast cancer. Carmen was a Breast Cancer survivor for 21 years. For the last 4 years mom has lived at laurel square health and rehab center in Philadelphia, P.A. Mom suffered from Dementia and Alzheimer’s which led to her Demise.
