Obituary of Douglas F. Hall

Please share a memory of Douglas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
(1935 – 2021) Douglas F. Hall (lovingly known as Bubba) went to be with his Lord and Savior January 7, 2021. Doug was born in Philadelphia, PA the beloved fifth son of Benjamin and Essie Hall. He moved to Macungie, PA in the 90’s. Doug is survived by his elder brother, LH Hall, and many nieces and nephews. Doug was extremely proud of serving in the United States Army as a Marksman in the Korean War. A dear friend and follow veteran (Raymond Jackson) once said “He was one of a kind. If you were fortunate enough to met Big Bro, you would never forget him.” Doug loved learning. He enjoyed life and people. He took time to talk and listen to people. Often people were amazed by his wealth of knowledge, and willingness to share. It was Doug’s love of life that kept him going. He was always on the go or working on a new project. When if came to the family, Doug was a “Peace Maker”. It was his love for the Lord that helped him with this Christian calling. He never wanted to elevate a discussion to an argument. He felt it was important to keep the peace, and keep in touch with family members. “They can no longer die; for they are like the angels.” (Luke 20:26) Doug totally enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He is riding with the angels.
