Nerrie C. (Kelly) Rouse, 101, crossed the gates of heaven on February 7, 2021 at her home surrounded by family and friends. Nerrie learned how to play the Clarinet by her mother. Her hobbies were sewing and making quilts. Her favorite show was “The Price is Right” and WWE Wrestling. Nerrie was a feisty woman who loved her children, and read her bible every morning, thanking God for her blessing. As a woman of god she was a long time member of the True Vine Missionary Baptist Church officiated by Rev.Paterson in Augusta, Georgia for over 30 years. A woman of strength, courage and dignity. Born to Endery Kelly & Albert Smith, December 6,1919 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the sixth child of five siblings Ida Louse Grey, Alexandra Calhun, Roman, Frank and John C. Jr (J.C). Nerrie married Joseph Rouse October 1935 and they had three daughters Mamie Joe, Lily Mae and Alberta and they created six generations. Nerrie leaves behind 6 grandchildren Henry Jr., Arthur, Catherine"Yvonne", Melvin, Linda, and Michelle. Her grandchildren blessed her with 12 great-grandchildren Angela, Mark, Damion, Johnathan, Anthony, Luetishia, (deceased)Joseph, Jayda, Jared, Endery, Clarence, Jennifer, Robert and Jared Gibson. And 11 great-great grandchildren and 2 great-great-great grandchildren. Having to meet her great-great grandchildren she lived a full life while witnessing the changing world of many decades after her. Nerrie also leaves a nephew (deceased)Thomas Kelly and his wife Carol and daughter Kimberly Kelly-Richerson(M.D) and goddaughter Virginia Anderson. Our family would like to give our sincere grace and appreciation for all the caregivers and nurses. Who gave her tender care and loved her like family thank you. She was always surrounded by people who loved her tremendously. Fly, Fly Away Until We Meet Again
