Obituary of Donald W Hughes, Jr.

Obituary Donald Walter Hughes, Jr., was born to the late Donald Hughes, Sr. and Irene Grimes Hughes on October 25, 1953, in Bethlehem, PA. He departed this life on February 27, 2021. He received his education in the Bethlehem School \District. Under the leadership of the late Pastor, Hattie Dotson, Donald accepted the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the Holy Ghost on December 15, 1974. Donald was employed at Friendly’s Restaurant, in Deptford, NJ for many years. He was a dedicated, dependable, and hard worker. He was a quiet and unassuming person. He was a member of Holy Bethel Pentecostal Temple, Inc., Camden, NJ. He was an honorary Deacon who took his position seriously. He assisted the Assistant Pastor, Evangelist Catherine Utley every Sunday. Always willing to assist in any manner no matter the task. He was on the Usher Board, Men’s Auxiliary, and helped in Sunday School, and assist with the Police Officers/Firemen’s breakfast. He leaves to cherish his memory: children, Tameka Hughes, Donald Hughes III, Vernon Hughes (Tracy), Theresa Hughes, two grandchildren: London Hughes, Vernon Hughes, Jr., two sisters: Irene Regina Marsh (Billy); Diana Mickens, two nieces, two nephews, three great-nieces, two great-nephews, cousins, Holy Bethel church family, and special friends Deacon Lee Utley and Brother Gregory Smith, many friends.
