Obituary of Clariese Robinson

Clariese F. (Arthur) Robinson, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 26, 2021. She was born on July 14, 1933 in Millville, NJ to the late Earl W. Arthur and Mervella F. Arthur. She attended the Vineland public schools, graduating in 1951. Because of her beautiful voice, she was chosen to sing “The Lord’s Prayer” at the graduation ceremony. While attending Vineland High School, she was selected to sing as a ”First Soprano” in the New Jersey All-State Chorus for three consecutive years. In 1951, Clariese married Robert W. Brown, Sr. A son Robert, Jr., and a daughter, Sheila Jane were born from this union. In her earlier years, she provided day care for many children while raising her own. During this time, she attended night classes learning the skills of bookkeeping. Upon completion of this training, she was employed as a bookkeeper for Cumberland Cleaning, Co, a position she held for more than 35 years. Her marriage to Walter P. Robinson took place in 1987. Clariese accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age. Her entire life was devoted to serving the Lord as a member of the New Bethel A.M.E. Church in Vineland. Her musical talents were expressed as director and musician of several choirs and dynamic vocal renditions throughout the years. She also served as a member of the Trustee Board for more than 50 years, acting as its’ Treasurer for the past twenty. An avid cook and baker, her culinary talents will be sorely missed, especially the delicious pound and chocolate cakes. No family or social fellowship will be the same. Clariese leaves to rejoice in the hope of the resurrection her daughter Sheila (Mervin) Saunders; sister Jane Clark; brother Earl Arthur; Grandchildren Stephanie (Ray) Negron, Lee Villalango, Spencer (Tammy) Brown, Sr, Joanna Villalango, Robert (Angela) Brown III, Tiffany Brown. 8 Great-Grandchildren; 5 Great-Great Grandchildren; Daughter-in-Law Lovette Brown; a Special Son Craig (Cheryl) Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many endearing friends. She was predeceased by her parents Earl and Mervella, and her late husband Walter; son Robert; siblings Marie, Lois, Preston, James, and William; Granddaughter Tanisha, and Great-Grandson Jaden.
