Philip Lawrence Sr was born on July 15, 1941 and passed on April 11, 2021. He was born to Hezekiah Lawrence and Mattie Williams. Philip was educated in the Philadelphia public school district. He worked for Triangle Container Corporation in various positions for 99 + years (hahaha), a very long time before retiring. Philip was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan. He had the opportunity so see them win a Superbowl. He loved spending quality time with his family, listening to music, getting dressed, putting on his cologne and hat. The grands affectional called him Poppy. Pop-pee which means red flower. Philip loved the Lord. I mean really loved the Lord so much that he built his own alter and wherever he moved it came. He was always praying family, friends, neighbors, whoever. We all knew when he blessed the food it would turn into a sermon. Philip is survived by his wife Barbara Lawrence, 1 daughter and 4 sons. Tracey Lawrence (Michelle), Kurt Stokes (Katrina), Lynnette Holmes (Keith), Philip Lawrence Jr. (Pamela), Mark Lawrence, 21 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
