Obituary of Curtis Tucker

Curtis Tucker was born on August 17th, 1931 in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The youngest of four children to the late Luchion Tucker and Christoria Tucker Livingston (née) Carson. Curtis received his education in the school system of Tallahassee, Florida. Upon settling in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Curtis met and married Janie Pearl Tucker (née) Burks. To this union three children were born: Sandra, Vanessa & Varrick. A short while after while after Curtis & Janie wed, Curtis volunteered to serve his country by joining the United States Army. He received a honorable discharge after his service in 1954. Curtis was employed for over 35 years with Container Cooperation of America also known as CCA & retired in 1996. In the early 90s, Curtis joined Grace Baptist Church of Germantown. Curtis accepted Jesus Christ & was baptized. He was a devoted member until his health failed. He remained an active member until his passing. Curtis was preceded in death by one sister, Willie Mae Tucker; one brother, Louis Tucker and his wife Janie Pearl Tucker. Curtis departed this world on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. Lauderdale, FL.; adopted daughter, Diane (Bill) Tucker-Burgess, Brundidge, AL. Grandsons: Patrick, Christopher, Quarie, Gary, Varrick Jr., Bryson and Michael Sr. Two adopted grandsons: Johnathon & Reginald. One dedicated friend & neighbor, Ms. Peggy. Also a host of niece, nephews, great-grandchildren and friends.
