Obituary of Maurice A Davis Sr

Maurice Andrew Davis Sr was born on February 28, 1960 to the late William Andrew Davis and Bishop Barbara Ann Davis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Maurice was educated in the Pennsylvania School District and later attended Fayetteville State University. Maurice was employed at Roman Haas in Bristol, PA, then later worked for Aluminum Shapes in Delair NJ. His most recent employer was INEOS in Philadelphia, PA for 7 years. Maurice was a long time Board Member and Volunteer with The Extended Hand Ministries, Mount Holly, NJ. He wore many hats. He was a phenomenal Treasurer and kept meticulous records. He also worked with the residents at the homeless shelter to ensure they were staying on tasks with their goals and assisting with serving community lunches. He truly enjoyed deep sea fishing throughout the year. Maurice was a former member of Christian Community Center, Church on the Water and High Street Worship Center. On Thursday, May 13, 2021, Maurice answered the call of the Lord and is now resting peacefully in his arms. He leaves to mourn his wife Tara Davis of 21 years, 1 brother Selwyn H. Davis (Cynthia), 2 sons Maurice A. Davis Jr and Marcello A. Davis. 5 grandchildren Asia, Mekhi, Chyna, London and Jaeden. Mother-in-law Avis Greene (Eugene) 2 aunts Lucille Boone and Kimberly Davis (Wendell). 2 godsons Justin A. Davis and Tyler A. Davis and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
