Stephen Hoover, better known as “Steve”, was born on June 11, 1950 at Mount Holly Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly, NJ preceded in death by his parents Walter R. Sr and Laura I. Forman Hoover. Steve attended Beverly City Public School, then went on to attend Palmyra High School. He attended Bethel AME Church, where he served as a member of the Usher Board and Trustee Board. Also, he was a member of the Willing Workers Committee, where he enjoyed working in the kitchen for various functions with Sister Almeda Franklin and Brother Paul & Sister Mary Rice. After high school he went on to work as a truck driver his entire career for various employers-Smith’s Express, Burn’s Beverage, ARA and Waste Management. He retired in 2015 from Waste Management. Steve served as a member of the Beverly City Fire Co #1 for several years. His favorite past time was bowling, fishing, sitting at the Beverly beach watching the ships go by and watching Nascar racing and old western movies. A list of Steve’s favorite things: Football – A big NY Giants fan Music – The oldies He had a love for traveling to the islands His favorite saying - “I’ll Get To It” (Which meant never)
