Obituary of Marlene S Jackson

Please share a memory of Marlene to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marlene Sonia Jones arrived on May 25, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA, and was a blessing to the late Lloyd Steven Smith and Jerone Jones.   Marlene was educated in the Philadelphia public school system.   She was industrious. She worked in retail and in the healthcare field. She also worked for Philco Ford (Visteon) in Lansdale, Pa until retirement. In March 1982, Marlene married Willard V. Jackson. This union was blessed with a daughter (Tramaine), who was named after Marlene’s favorite Gospel singer Tramaine Hawkins, adding to the older daughter, (Jackie) and son (Keith) that the Lord had blessed her to have.    Marlene loved to decorate, to make floral arrangements, and to shop. She also enjoyed watching karate movies with her grandson Gerald.  The only thing she loved more than her Lord, was her mother, her children and her grandchildren.   Praising her Lord, working in the vineyard, and spending time with her family was the highlight of her life. She especially loved spending time with her mother and sidekick Jerone Jones. Her daughters and granddaughter lovely called them “Thelma and Louise”, because at any given time, you would find them in the car  going to church, visiting family and friends or shopping at one of their favorite malls.  Marlene gave her life to the Lord and attended several churches in Philadelphia and New Jersey until she was led to Impacting Your World Ministries. (Pastors Ray and Tracey Bernard), where she was very active in Ministry and on fire for the Lord.  Marlene shared her testimony of salvation and the love of Jesus Christ to any and everyone who would listen.   Marlene was very happy knowing that her work here on earth was complete. God called her home into His loving arms - to an even greater joy, on Monday, May 31, 2021. Marlene went home to be with The Lord and got her wings! Her two sons, Mark and Keith Lloyd, and one brother Carl, preceded her in death. She leaves to celebrate her memory, her mother Ms. Jerone Jones, two daughters Jacquelin (George), Tramaine (Damon; three Grandsons Gerald (Kristen), Khaleb, and Khalil; two Granddaughters Shawnta (Curtis), and Elise; two Great-Grandsons Khalid and TaShawn; three Great-granddaughters Skye, Laila, and Ily; Godson Stephen; Goddaughter Sheila; two brothers Keith Steve, and George (Crystal); two sisters Renee and Michele (Robert); her Sister friends Helene, Elayne (John), Jacqueline (Jerome), Vivian (James) and Catherine;, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, friends, her pastor and church family. With rejoicing hearts, The Children and Grandchildren of Marlene Sonia Jackson
