Jamille Lynique Horne was born on January 11, 1978, in Sicklerville, New Jersey from the union of the late James L. Horne and Jessie M. Horne. She was the fourth of five children. In her early years, she was educated in the Winslow Township school system before graduating high school from Overbrook Senior High, in Pine Hill New Jersey in 1995. She later attended Cheyney University, where she received her Bacholars of Arts in Communications. While attending Cheyney, Jamille ran track, participated in theatre arts, and became a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority- Delta Tau Chapter Spring 1999. Always striving to accomplish more and reach new heights, she then earned her master’s degree in education at Cheyney University. Jamille was pursuing her Doctor of Education degree in administration at Wilmington University. Jamille began her career as an educator in the Philadelphia School District before teaching in the Lawnside and Pennsauken School Districts in New Jersey. Before her passing, Jamille taught English and Creative Writing for the Primary and Secondary levels in the Camden school district. Jamille is noted for her classroom management, creative lessons, her interactive Black History school assemblies that included fashion shows, inspirational plays, and her well-known Black History-wax museum. Jamille leaves behind a host of students who she loved and would proudly speak about often. Jamille’s passion for Creative Arts led her to join the drama and dance ministries at Bethany Baptist Church in Lindenwold, New Jersey for many years. Jamille loved expressing her love for God through conversation, music, and attending Women’s Ministry fellowships with Living Empowered Women’s Ministry, LLC. Jamille had a smile and boisterous laughter which brightened up the room.She was gregarious, joyful, energetic, and had a passion for party planning and DJing. For this, she will always be remembered by her tagline: “DJ REAL DEAL JAMILLE… on the Wheels of Steel, and That Is Fo’REAL!”. We will remember Jamille for her warm spirit, infectious laugh, sassy personality, and the caring person that she was to all who were blessed to have experienced Jamille. She was a kindhearted person, full of love, and assumed many positions and fulfilled many roles with excellence. Jamille was a devoted daughter, supportive sibling, talented educator, lifelong learner, and was respected by many. The role she cherished most dearly is that of being a mother. She was grateful to have been God’s chosen vessel for her fantastic four. . Her legacy will live on through children Antonio Dandridge Jr. (Mann) (22), Jae’dyn Dandridge (20), A’Melo Correa (7), and Journey Correa (5). Jamille also leaves to cherish her memory, her loving mother Jessie Horne, her only brother, James Jr. (Oze); three sisters, Carolyn, Janice (Leroy) Jessica (Hassan), and; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends, and family.
