Obituary of Benjamin H Watkins

The Man His Life His is Legacy Benjamin (Bam Bam) Harrison Watkins, 51, of Willingboro, N.J. was resurrected out of this world on Thursday, July 8, 2021. He was born to Opal Mae Sims-Parham and Earl Minnie on March 28,, 1970 at Virtue Memorial Hospital, Mt. Holly, NJ He was a student of Pemberton Township School District and later earned his GED. Benjamin was an awesome fearless soccer player and helped win many games for his team. At an early age, Benjamin accepted the LORD, JESUS CHRIST as his personal Savior. He joined, “New Egypt Primitive Baptist Church”, now known as, “Heaven’s Gateway Temple of God Church”. He became a member of a spiritual gospel group known as the, “Prodigal Sons.” In this group, Bam became one of the lead singer. The Lord gave him a gifted and anointed voice. The Prodigal Sons singed and blessed many different churches, all over the Tri State area. His gift allowed him to become a director of the choir at the Salvation Army and Southern State, in Delmont NJ. God often uses our deepest pain as the launching pad of our greatest calling, and that’s what Bam demonstrated. He used his gift well to serve others. Selfless, considerate, charming, alluring, and protective of his family, are just a few words to describe him. Throughout his life, Ben touched, inspired, and impacted the lives of many. He had a tremendous love for his family. The personality alone made him the life of the party, ALWAYS. Can we talk about the laugh? That laugh was an infectious one that we will forever remember. He was deeply loved by many and will truly be missed. Bam was preceded in his resurrection by his father; Earl Minnie, sisters; Ledora and Keisha, and one son; Joseph. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother; Opal Parham; his special mother; Aunt Diane (westly) his children; Shaniqua, his two sons; Ben and Ben, Ledora, and Benita, two sisters; Estella (Peaches) and Cheryl, and brother; Earl, two special brothers; Wesley and Marcel Bethany, two uncles, Adjuster Sims (Ruby), and Frank Sims (Vivian) two nieces, Badrea and Sharia (Keith), two nephews; Terrell and Joshua; Special Aunt Baybay; six special cousins, Bo, Kotta, David, Deltris, Zippy and Vic; and a host of great nieces/nephews, many cousins and a multitude of friends.
