Obituary of Norman L Holmes

NORMAN LEE HOLMES Norman Lee Holmes was born to the late Norman Leroy Holmes Jr. and Lula Mae Williams on April 8, 1958. Lee departed from this life on July 4, 2021. Lee was educated in the Camden Public School System. He graduated from Camden High School in 1976 and furthered his education at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. Lee loved to cook and held various cooking jobs. He worked at IHOP in Cherry Hill, NJ; Lee worked alongside his cousin Charles at Giacomo’s Bar and Grill; He also worked at Martin Luther King Day Care Center in Camden as a Kitchen Assistant. Lee had a passion for food and love for onions in everything. Lee was known for his famous potato salad that he made every holiday. Lee was affectionately known as Champ on his mother’s side and Lee on his father’s side of the family. Lee also had a love for children; he gave many of his little cousin's nicknames. Lee enjoyed taking the kids to the park and the Centerville Unity Day every year. Lee was preceded in death by his mother Lula Mae Williams, his father Norman L. Holmes Jr., his paternal grandmother who he lived with until her death Lenora Holes. He leaves to mourn his memories of three aunts Jannette Ames, Debra Holmes, and Dorothy Hardwick: many other friends and family on the Chavis side and Holmes side. Sorrowfully Submitted, The Family
