Obituary of Andrew Collins

God in His infinite wisdom closed the eyes of His son, Andrew Collins of Bridgeton New Jersey on July 14, 2021. Andrew was born on November 21, 1953, in Clewiston, Florida to the late James Collins and Eliza Herring. He attended school in Clewiston, Florida. A hardworking man in the community, Andrew was a devoted Christian, husband, and father. Andrew really loved his Daddy God. He was always working for the kingdom by sharing the good news of God without shame. Andrew was a faithful member of his church and loved serving on the Hospitality Ministry under Ernestine Vega, Director. He was preceded in death by his daughter Shawnee Hooks; his brothers: James, Tony, Johnny, Fred, Alfonzo, and Charles Collins. He leaves to cherish his memories his queen/wife, Myra Collins, his son Michael Hook, daughters Corin Jones, NiTeesha Sminkey, and Tina Hainey; three sisters: Inez, Ruth, and Maurelzina Collins, brother James Collins; grandchildren: Adrian (Chenoa), Jordan, Katura, Michael, Jr., Kha`moni, Cahrlay, and Zoey; great-grandchildren: Amiyah, Randolph, Jaceona, Zayeen, and Solution, two very close friends Steve Thomas and Kathy Benjamin- affectionately known as solider, a special grandmother, Joyce Hooks, a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives, and friends.
