To the family, Rev. Serena Curtis will always be my mentor, my friend. She touched so many people, letting her light shine on everyone she met. When I didn't know which way to go, there she was " Daughter did you pray about it?" She showed me that GOD had the answer, no matter what people told me. If I follow what GOD is telling me, even if it seems strange, I would be fulfilling my purpose. My friend Serena, would send pictures of the family through out the years, she loved her family so deeply. We stayed in touch, she always checked on the children she had taught, guided and loved. (and she did love the children). We often talked about when we meet Our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ, face to face, how glorious it will be. I pray the family finds comfort in knowing she's basking in the light of GOD, at peace, no more pain or sorrow. (and knowing Rev., singing in the heavenly choir) I will miss my dear friend, but her legacy will forever live on, in her family, the sheep she guided in sermon, the children she encouraged and inspired, and the loving spirit she showed each and everyone around her. Thank you LORD for making her a part of my journey. (Bernard, Ruthe and Bernie Jones)
