Obituary of Carman D Lloyd

~ A golden heart has stopped beating. Hard working hands are out to rest. ~ God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best ~ Carman Daley Lloyd answered God’s call July 30, 2021, bringing a radiant life of service to sunset. Come my child, I have prepared a special place just for you. Carman fought a good fight, and we rejoice in knowing he finished his course. Carman was born on August 13, 1941, in Clarendon, Jamaica to the late Isiah and Daisy Lloyd. He was one of 14 children. He attended Toll Gate Primary School and after graduation, he entered the workforce. In 1963, he migrated to Belle Glade, Florida as a farm worker. He married Winnifred, the love of his life. In 1970 he moved to Bridgeton, NJ. He retired from Kimble Glass after 37 years of service. He believed that hard work was essential to maintaining strong character. To all who knew him, he had a compassionate, gentle spirit and always showed kindness and respect for others. Carman was an active member of Glory Tabernacle Church in Bridgeton, New Jersey, where he served on the Usher Board. He was an active member within the community and was known for having passion and a spirit of service to others. He knew that with God’s help he could make a difference by willingly giving his time and energy. He was always there for family, neighbors and friends in their time of need. His magnetic spirit served him well as he battled the illness. He never lost his praise even in his darkest days. Through it all, he held on to his faith in a powerful God and could be counted on to make you feel better when you visited him. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, brother and uncle. He devoted much of his time and energy to his grandchildren. Carman was preceded in death by parents, Isiah and Daisy Lloyd; three brothers, Donald Lloyd, Jeff Lloyd, Lenford Lloyd (John Bull) and one sister, Pearline Lloyd. Carman leaves to cherish his precious memories, his devoted and loving wife: Winnifred; children: Claudean Burke (Craig) of Northfield, New Jersey, Glenford Lloyd (Marie) of Magnolia, New Jersey, Sandra Lloyd of Tamarac, Florida, Everal Lloyd (Stacey) of Delran, New Jersey, Juliet Goode (William) of Bridgeton, New Jersey; sisters: Edna Ellis of England, Hermine Williams of New York, Hyacinth Lloyd of New York, Ruby McBean (Charles) of Pleasantville, New Jersey; brothers: Lloyd Dean of England, Chevor Lloyd (Katie) of Canada, Noel Lloyd of New York, Cecil Lloyd of Florida, Osbert Lloyd of Bridgeton, New Jersey, Calvin Lloyd (Shirley) of England, Samuel Lloyd of Atlanta, Georgia. Grandchildren: Tyesha Lloyd of Atlantic City, New Jersey, Craig Mansfield (Cherita) of Chesterfield, Virginia, Andrea Mansfield of Atlantic City, New Jersey, Christine Burke of Northfield, New Jersey, Simone Beezer of Tamarac, Florida, Christopher James of Delran, New Jersey, Jordan Goode of Bridgeton, New Jersey; nine great grandchildren; one godson: Bryan Montalvo ; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
