Elder Charles Francis Carter Jr. aka. Charlie was born to Charles F Carter Sr. and Alice Conard in the Bronx NY, the youngest of five children. Both of his parents had a passion for music that was passed to Charlie, which led to his love of music though out his life. Charlie spent his childhood in Patterson Projects Housing Development. His passion for music opened the door to many friendships, opportunity, and business ventures with music makers and other DJ services throughout his life. Charlie was known to enjoy life with a gift of laughter, fun, with a huge heart. At the age of 16, Charlie moved to Laurelton, Queens NYC, where he attended Samuel Gompers High school, and received his GED. Charlie met his friend the love of his life Cynthia. They married and shared 46 years of marriage and love. From this union they had four children Charles III “Chuck”, Christopher “Chris”, Chadel, Catrina, along with receiving the honor of raising their nephew, Jason Conard. Charlie moved his family from New York to New Jersey to secure employment with the Philadelphia airport as a Skycap working there for 18 years. Then an opportunity opened at A.E. Litho where he moved up the ranks from warehouse worker to warehouse manager. After 26 years, of faithful service Charlie retired due to illness. Charlie accepted Jesus Christ into his life as savor and Lord, in Blackwood NJ and was baptized in Antioch Baptist Church in Camden NJ. He became active in ministries such as the street ministry, prison ministries, and feeding the hungry with varies churches. Charlie overseen the music ministry, where his music added more than a melody in the hearts of many, it has a staying effect that will prosper our souls every time people entered the church doors. Charlie was a faithful servant of the Lord, always at his post, willing and ready to serve the Lord. As a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, Charlie advanced in his ministry in the church due to his love of music and saving souls and spreading the word of Jesus Christ. Advancing from faithful servant to Deacon to Minister of Music to Elder under Healing Word Christian Center. On August 23, 2021, Charlie went home to be with the Lord. He was predeceased by both parents Charles Carter SR and Alice Jute, both brothers William “Billy”, Raymond Conard and grandchildren Javon Watson and Nyla Mitchell. Leaving to mourn his Wife Cynthia, children Chuck, Jason, Chris, Chadel (Adrian), Catrina (Darrel). Grandchildren Nashae, Daysha, DaShaun, Dominque, Tamia, Cianne, Chris, Allisia, Donovan, Jadien, Xavier, Jace, Promyse, Carter, Isaiah, and Imani. Great-grandchildren Jalil and Nia. Sisters Ann Daniels and Agnes Bey, as well as a host of brother and sisters- in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Sorrowfully submitted by the family
