Obituary of Eugene D Greene Sr.

Rev. Eugene David Greene Sr’, 83, was born on January 26, 1938 to the late Rev. James R. Greene Sr’ and Anna Mae Greene in Mount Holly, New Jersey. He was raised in Burlington City. He was one of 17 children. Eugene was married to his beloved wife Avis E. Greene for 18 years. He attended the Burlington City School District and graduated from Burlington City High School. After graduating High school he entered into the United States Marine Corp. Eugene enjoyed working with the special needs children, as he worked with them for many years in Willingboro, NJ. He also worked as a custodian in the Westampton School District for many years, where he later retired. Rev. Eugene D. Greene Sr’ was the Chaplain at The American Legion 336, Burlington, New Jersey. He accepted Christ at an early age, where he attended various churches over the years. He received his ministerial license under the Pastoralship of Bishop Barbara A. Davis, and later received his deacon orders under the Pastoralship of Rev. Selwyn H. Davis (Pastor). On Monday August 23, 2021, Eugene answered the call of the Lord and is now resting peacefully in his arms. He leaves to cherish his lovely wife Avis E. Greene. He leaves remaining to celebrate his life his six children, 2 preceded in death Eugene D. Greene Jr’ and Rhonda Brown. Kevin Greene, Rosalyn Rosado (Eric), Kim Greene and Shawn Patterson (Nikki). six step children, Yolanda Boyce, Felton McRae, Donna McRae, Tara Davis, Cynthia Davis (Selwyn), and Marinda Duncan. 6 brothers, Elder James R. Greene Jr’, Pastor Melvin L. Greene (Elma), Francis Rayford Greene, Frederick Greene, Ricky R. Greene, Robert W. Greene. Four sisters Mary Bernice Williamson, Rita A. McMillon (John), and Geraldine Greene Kennedy (Bernice) , and Vivian Greene, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces , nephews and friends. Lovingly Submitted, The Family
