Lillian Frances (Watson) DeBerry was born on December 27th, 1945, in Salisbury, Maryland. Her family relocated to the Southern New Jersey area when she was two years old and is where she has resided for the rest of her life. Lillian was the second of three children born to Taft and Estella Watson. She was educated in the Bridgeton school system. After high school, she married Alfred Lamar Sr. and gave birth to four children. She later wed Joseph DeBerry who predeceased her. At an early age she joined and received the Lord as her Lord and Savior at the Mt. Zion AME Church in Bridgton NJ and often visited the Shiloh Baptist Church where she enjoyed receiving the Word as Preached by Pastor James Dunkins. She loved children and her home was often filled with many whom she cared for like her own. Lillian was employed for 32 years by the Cumberland Manor until her health necessitated her retirement. She is predeceased by her parents Taft and Estella (Glenn) Watson and her brother William (Billy) Watson. Surviving are her sister Mary Clark (James), son Alfred Lamar Jr. (Tina), three daughters Marie Lamar-Williams (Alvin), Sonya Lamar and Adrienne (Kim) Silvera (Cephas). She also has 10 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, her beloved godchildren, cousins, and friends.
