Obituary of Lee E Enders

Obituary: Lee Edward Enders was born on September 12, 1957 in Franklin County, Ohio. He departed this low land of sorrow on September 14, 2021. He was 64 years old. Lee was the oldest son of the late Lee & Loretta Enders. Lee was a fierce lover of family, sharing his gifts and life adventures. He absolutely cherished life and in the words of Sinatra, “Did it His Way.” Lee was a very creative, artistic, and communicative soul whom never met a stranger and no matter the room made his presence known. Although he was short in stature he stood head and shoulders above most singers and he was undoubtedly a gifted poet. He was most happy and fulfilled helping others sort out, discover and achieve their purpose, passions, and dreams, often at the expense of his own. He was a true giver. He Truly loved seeing his friends, family, and all around him laugh, smile, be happy and enjoy all life’s precious moments. Lee was very active in ministry in the local church and college ministry. Lee was responsible for a group called The Ambassadors for Christ that he started on Cheyney University campus. It became a popular place for students to worship. He was a mentor to many and a father figure to most. He gave college students a sense of hope, extended his home, and prepared meals for hungry college students. He made sure they were connected and in community together. Each Sunday, he would come preach on campus and pray with the students. The impact that he made was so great and the community so rich that when we graduated, many students followed him to his home church. He was a youth minister at Holy Light church and started a drama ministry called Renewing Minds. He did plays at various churches and the grand finale was performed at the Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia. He is survived by his sister, Lori Enders of Burlington, sister Gladys Gibbs of Columbus, Ohio, stepchildren, Mikayla, Mikira, and Micah, Nephew Trevor and wife Melissa Chin of Baltimore, niece Serena Wright of Boston, Aunt & Uncle Shirley and Donald Curtis of Paterson, cousins Shari Curtis of Washington DC, Monilola and Ronald Foster of Columbia, SC, Darnice and David Jasper of Jessup MD, Robin, Candace and Issac, treasured cousins, friends, “adopted” children, nieces, nephews, and church members. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lee’s honor to “Hope 4 Tomorrow Village, LLC. This is a ministry that is intentional about feeding the homeless population monthly in neighborhoods in Philadelphia and encourage people in need on their journey.
