Obituary of Derek Whye

Obituary   Derek David Whye was born March 4, 1971, to Inez and the late James Whye Sr. in Camden, NJ. Derek was educated in the Camden  School District. As a child, he attended Zion Baptist Church in Camden, New Jersey with his family. Derek desired to venture out, so he relocated to Lancaster, P.A. where he resided for 20 plus years. During his residency in Lancaster, he became the proud father of his three youngest adorable children. In the early part of 2021, Derek decided to return to his hometown of Camden, New Jersey. After returning home, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed precious moments with his mother. Derek, also enjoyed sports, pool, weekly bowling, and playing cards with his oldest son and family. Derek leaves to cherish his memory of his 4 children Derek, Donte’, Devaniah, Davante, and Daimiere who were his pride and joy. His loving mother Inez Whye, two brothers Darnell (Renee), Keith, and two sisters Andrea and Lisa, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews cousins friends, and his companion Brittney Middlebrooks.
