Obituary of Clifford L Wood

Clifford Lawrence Wood passed away on October 26, 2021. He was born to the late Katurah Tranks and Clarence Anderson Wood in West Cape May NJ, January 16, 1929. He was educated in the West Cape May school system and was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy, (WWII and Korean). In 1956 he was united in holy matrimony to the now deceased Grace Wood, they were married for 52 years. Clifford spent most of his life working at the Jefferson Hospital system in Philadelphia Pa, but his true passion was for barbecuing. He was known as “Blinky” and operated a BBQ stand in front of his home in Williamstown, NJ. Woody was also an avid antique and junk collector. He enjoyed the flea markets and card playing, but in his later years he could be found with Grace watching football in their “reclining chairs”. He leaves to cherish precious memories four loving children, Stephen (Ann-Marie), Clifford Kevin Wood (Stephanie) Veronica and Suzanne, two grandchildren Tara, and Chelsea (deceased) two step grandchildren Andrew and Carlito, five siblings who proceeded him in death, Edward, Grace, Clarence, Audrey, Lillian, best friends William Green, Lawrence Nolin, sisters-in-law Alberta, Gladys, Gloria, Virginia, Christine, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
