Obituary of Michael S King

Michael S. (Steven) King, 63 of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, entered his eternal rest on Thursday October 21, 2021, at home. Visitation will be held at May Funeral Home on Friday November 5, 2021, at 10a-11a, followed by funeral service at 11a with Reverend C.W. Smith of St. Mark Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be private. Michael was born in Norfolk, Virginia to Lois C. Hill and Levelt King Sr. on May 23, 1958. He and his family moved to New Jersey in 1969. Michael went to high school at Pemberton where he played football & basketball. He graduated in 1977 and immediately joined the US Army. Upon completion of his military service, Michael worked as a bricklayer with his father and brothers. He enjoyed cooking, spending time with family & friends. Michael was a Deacon under Pastor Montez O. Jones of Judah Ministries and loved to fellowship with his family in Christ. Michael is survived by his sisters Cheryl L. Graham and Rita L. King of Pemberton NJ, Lisa Simmons of Mt. Laurel NJ, brothers Gary King and Larrye C. Cheaves both of Atlanta GA, Anthony King and Solomon Cheaves both of Pemberton NJ, sister-in-law Anita Harris-King of Willingboro, nieces Shenita (Jerome) Downing of New Jersey, Ashley King of Georgia, nephew Levelt King III of Oklahoma, great niece Tekeira King, great nephews Roderick Powell, Taequan King, Zaire Downing, great-great niece Kiyah King, his beloved four-legged companion Spirit and a host of other relatives and friends. Michael is preceded in death by both parents, his twin brother Mark R. King, brother Levelt King Jr. and wife Mary King.
