Obituary of Antoinette Calhoun

Antoinette Doby Calhoun was born on March 4th, 1965 in Manhattan, NY to Harry Toole, Sr. & the late Pearline Dobie. She received her formal education in the Blackville- Hilda School System. Antoinette held numerous positions during her lifetime; however, the most important one, was being a loving and devoted wife and amazing mother to her two children. For the past eighteen years, up until the start of this pandemic, Antoinette was employed at Fort Dix/Maguire Joint AFB in the mess halls. She was a sweet, honest, lively, fun and generous woman, who loved God, music, and her family. Antoinette would help anyone that she could. Antoinette believed in doing what is right over what is easy. On March 6, 1992, Antoinette was united in holy matrimony to Robert L. Walker Calhoun, Sr. From this union, they were blessed with two children: Lashanda Doby & Robert L. Calhoun, Jr. Antoinette is predeceased by her mother: Pearline Dobie & her husband: Robert L. Walker Calhoun, Sr. Antoinette departed this life, sudden and unexpectedly on October 29th, 2021 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly, NJ. She is survived by her loving children:Lashanda Doby, Mount Holly, NJ & Robert Lee Calhoun, Jr of Mount Holly, NJ; three grandchildren: Daivon Gabriel Butler, Hainsport, NJ, Shanyah Lashonda Howlett and Adorae Lyric Doby-Kelly, Mount Holly, NJ; two sisters: Christine Doyle Parham (Joseph), Boston, MA, Niasha Toole, (London, UK); four brothers: Harry Ernest Toole, Brockton, MA; Ivory Dobie & Wade Dobie both of New York, NY; Neil Douglas, Sr, Boston, MA; six nephews: Tesean Toole, Boston, MA; Nick Doyle, Boston, MA, Darryl Robinson, Boston, MA, Maurice Toole Robinson, Boston, MA; Neil Douglas, Jr, Boston, MA; Jonathan Dobie, New York, NY; three nieces: Christa Ferguson & Alisha Douglas, London, UK; Pearline Dobie, New York, NY; ten great-nieces and nephews. Two sister in-laws: Hattie Ray, Blackville, SC, Georgia Rivers (James), Barnwell, SC; two brother in-laws: Pernell Calhoun (Nora), Edgewater Park, NJ & Johnny Calhoun (Gretchen), Florida and a host of family and friends.
