Obituary of Ellis N. Harris

Ellis Harris was born August 12, 1945, in Camden, New Jersey to Ellis Harris Sr and Blanch Harris. Both of Ellis’ parents and his siblings Robert Butters, Evelyn Pettiford, Doris Wanamaker, Mude Harris, Herbert Harris, Warren Harris, Roger Harris, and Charles Harris along with his late wife Maryann Crammer, along with his son’s Ellis Harris III, and Norman Harris preceded his death. Ellis answered God’s call to come home on Monday, November 8, 2021. Ellis early schooling was at St. Barts school in Camden, New Jersey. After finishing his education Ellis had various jobs but when he started his career at West Jersey Hospital is where he was known and loved for 45 years of dedicated service. He retired from West Jersey Hospital (which is now Virtua) 12 years ago and has been living and loving life thereafter. Ellis has always been a family man and enjoyed cooking and cleaning for his family. Although, one of his favorite past times is watching TV. You where to find him any given Sunday, watching his favorite team (the Eagles) and making a Sunday dinner. Ellis also loved the holidays; Christmas was his favorite! He would decorate the tree and the house and made sure everyone had a wonderful holiday! Ellis leaves to cherish his memories: his daughters, Monique Harris and Tonya Kee; his son Dwight Harris; two sisters, Catherine Brown and Irene Simmons; his partner, Kathleen Young; a special niece a special niece Roslyn, 10 Grandchildren, 9 Great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, stepchildren and friends.
