Obituary
Minister Linda Carol Williams, 64 of Edgewater Park, NJ entered into eternal rest on November 22, 2021.
Linda was born on December 25, 1956, in Milford, CT to Everett Thompson and Mildred DePina-Thompson. She attended and received her education at James Hillhouse high school in New Haven CT, class of "75". Upon graduation, she made the decision to enter into the field of Hairdressing and Cosmetology at Ms. Harrison’s School of Cosmetology.
Linda was employed with Dr. Marshall R. Holley, OBGYN, and Yale-New Haven Hospital for many years until she decided to relocate to New Jersey in 2001, where she was employed at Hampton Behavioral Health Center until her untimely passing.
She was an active member and Minister at Charity Community Church in Cherry Hill, NJ under the leadership of Pastor Wendell Thompson. She participated in the following auxiliaries, Choir, Praise Dance, Outreach, and Prayer ministry. She completed a three-year course of Biblical study with Faith Bible Institute. She was an armor bearing to the Pastor and always undergirded the Ministerial Staff in prayer.
Minister Linda C. Williams leaves to cherish a multitude of memories, her daughters Junice L. Williams of Riverside NJ, and Dana N. Williams of Cross Lanes, WV, 9 grandchildren, A’Leyah, Amarii, Ariana, Kayla, Kameron, Tyree, Kayden, Tra’Von, and Tyler and a great-grandson Jaelyn.
She also leaves siblings, Mitchell Powell (Ella) and Wendell Thompson (Diane) of New Jersey, Andrea Thompson, Leslie Coles and Harold Thompson of New Haven CT and Lisa Eaton (Willie) of Columbus GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly. She was predeceased by her parents Everett Thompson and Mildred Depina-Thompson, brothers Howard and Everett Thompson, and sister Tomi Simmons.
Memorial Service will be held in her honor at Charity Community Church 1950 Old Cuthbert Rd, Suite K Cherry Hill NJ 08034 Pastor Wendell Thompson Sr.
