Cathy was born on May 10, 1961 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Titus L. Welcome and Helen Jane Welcome. She departed this life on November 29, 1961 in Syracuse, NY. She attended Sarah J. Hale High School in Brooklyn, NY. Cathy had a strong love for music, dancing and having a good time with family and friends. She was a favorite aunt and a fun, loving and protective sister. She had a natural talent for hair braiding and put smiles on all the faces her hands were blessed to touch. For many of the family, their first babysitter and trusted shoulder to lean on. Cathy was a loner because she was a deep thinker & dreamer but could also be the Life of The Party. Plain & simply put Cathy was a lover of people but the Loves of Her Life, hands down, were her two sons who she was fiercely protective of and gave everything she had to give. She was a member of Refuge Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Syracuse, NY. Preceded in her death by her father, Titus L. Welcome. She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Helen Jane Welcome of Willingboro, NJ. Two children, Jamar Welcome (Jenell) of Delanco, NJ and Joel Welcome of Burlington, NJ. Three granddaughters, Brianna and Jordan Welcome of Delanco, NJ and Kelani Welcome of Burlington, NJ. One brother, Titus L. Welcome (Lai-Onda) of Willingboro, NJ. Two sisters, Terri D. Little Gardenhigh (Timothy) of Los Angeles, CA and Tawana W. Casper (Stacey) of Berlin, NJ. Long time partner, Tommie Casper Jr. of New York, NY. One aunt, Virginia Butler and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
