'Life Story'. Monroe Council, affectionally known as Uncle Bill, was born to the late Jasper and Edith Council in Laurinburg, N.C. He attended Laurinburg Institute. Afterwards, he enlisted and served twenty years in the US Army. While serving in the Army, he met and married his wife, Magdaline Johnson. Upon retiring from the military, he served twenty years as a postal employee. Uncle Bill was a longtime resident of Willingboro, N.J. His love for family and friends was unmeasurable! He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, four brothers, and three sisters. He leaves to mourn his loss, one sister - Nora King, one Stepson- E.C. Shaw of London, England, one sister-in-law - Lucille Council, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He also left to mourn a special neighbor, and friend- John Williams.
