Obituary of Donna Owens

Donna passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 14, 2021 surrounded by her Brother and loving friends. Donna was born on February 22, 1960 in Brooklyn, New York to parents John and Gertrude Gorton. Donna graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School, Brooklyn NY. Donna had many occupations in Human Services and Sales through the years and her best was taking care of her friends and loved ones. She enjoyed singing and performing in her younger years. Donna was kind and full of courage, resiliency, strength, positive thoughts and warrior spirit gave hope and serenity to all. She was truly a Social Butterfly and made friends wherever she went. She enjoyed cooking and enjoyed hanging out with her friends at Villari’s and Adelphia’s. Donna was predeceased by her parents John and Gertrude Gorton, Grandmother Eugena Wheeler and a brother John D. Gorton. She is survived by her brother Ron Wheeler, Nephews Ron Terrell Wheeler and Jaaron Wheeler, a great nephew Adonis Wheeler, and Step-son Ronnell Owens. She is also survived by a Special Friend Robert Harmon and Larry Owens. She is survived by siblings Rory Batts, Anthony Gorton, Johnny Gorton, Dwayne Baker, James Gorton, Yakeema Blackstone, Terrance Gorton, LaToya Watkins, Daniel Gorton, Lester Bunch, Tache Groton, John Tyrell Gorton and many other relatives and friends.
