Obituary of Garrison G Rozier

Please share a memory of Garrison to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Garrison Glen Rozier Sr. age 90, died peacefully in his home in Willingboro, New Jersey on January 9, 2022. He was born on November 2, 1931 to the late Joseph and Bertha Rozier in Washington, DC. and were one of four children from this union. Garrison was educated in the Camden School System, and was affectionately called Gary by his family and friends. Gary married the love of his life, Beatrice Curry on December 10,1952, in Mount Holly New Jersey. From their union he and Beatrice produced six sons. In 1952 he enlisted in the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged on July 1,1960. He gave his heart to the Lord in 1958 but was not officially baptized until April 4, 2010, at Calvary Bible Tabernacle in Camden, New Jersey. Mr. Rozier (Gary) was a good provider, and dedicated himself to working hard for his family at the U. S. Pipe & Foundry Company in Burlington, New Jersey, retiring after forty-five years of service. He was an active force in his son’s lives, mentoring them with lessons of life while taking pride in their accomplishments. Gary had a gentler side that included his love for reminiscing about the old days. He possessed many old photos and had fond memories of his many neighbors and friends while growing up. H;e often expressed the sentiment “he never forgot where he came from”. He loved fishing, playing baseball, bowling, boxing, tennis and watching football. Family and friends remember him for the music he loved, the vehicles he drove and how well he maintained them, always keeping them clean and smelling good! Every birthday the Lord allowed him to see, Gary would go to the baseball field and walk/run around the track. 2020 was the last time he was physically able to celebrate his birthday this way. He left many indelible memories on the lives of the many people he touched. In his infinite wisdom, God allowed Gary to fall asleep in Jesus on January 9, 2022. Surviving to cherish his memory is his devoted Wife of 69 years, Beatrice (Bea); Sons; Garrison Jr. (Patricia), Antonio (Joye), Joseph (Stacey), Michael (Rochelle), Guy (Edie); Sister, Lorraine DeShields, Twelve Grandchildren; Gary III (Monique), Tiffani, April, Andrew, Dr. Antonio Rozier, Angelita (Shanice), Ja’Michael (Samantha), Amber, Dania (Darren), Joseph Jr, Byron, Michael Guy, Five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. His son William (Billy) and two brothers; Theodore and Amos, preceded him in death. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the arch angel and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so, shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4: 16 & 17
