Obituary of D'Shawna K. Brown

Letter from NyQuahn Dear Mom, We miss you already. Everything from the laugh’s we had to all of the struggles we had to get through. D’Shawna Kamesha Brown, You will be remembered as a Great Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and Niece. Hey Mom remember that time when you called me all the way home just to let our dog Coco’s leg out of the laundry basket. That memory will always stick to the back of my head. I had to catch a ride all the way back home to get Coco’s leg out. It was stuck between 3 holes in the laundry basket, and she’s just running in a circle. This is one of our funniest moments together. I was so mad at first, but It didn’t last long, because I knew it would always be one of our favorite memories together. Hey Mom remember when we were all together having that sing off during the Christmas of 2020. I could never forget that. Uncle Deon was the main attraction, even though we all know I won that night, let’s be honest. I could never forget our favorite cousins Delroy, Taleya, and Tyler, they were giving me competitive, I’m not gone lie. Then, to top off the night, it was your turn to sing, and you gave us the performance of a lifetime, with the help of you’re background dancers and back up singers. Mom you loved to sing growing up, so watching you do your thing despite your health, was a beautiful thing to witness. You completed your mission and smiled that big smile with your huge cheek bones showing. We love you mom. Not only were you a great mother, but also a great wife. D’Shawna Parham was born to Sheila Parham and Willie White on May 25th, 1982. As a small child she moved from Bronx, New York, to Willingboro, New Jersey to be with her G-Mom Lucy Parham. This was the start of her new journey. Later in life she met the father of her only child(Mike Crawford). They were friends turned to parents on April 2, 2002. Giving birth to her only child (NyQuahn Ty’Ric Parham). D’Shawna went through a lot of highs and lows, one her greatest highs was meeting the love of her life George E. Brown Sr. D’Shawna and George met in 2008 on MySpace, where their relationship went from online messaging to becoming great friends and falling in love. D’Shawna loved to help people through her Dietary work at Bentley Retirement Home. It was during this time she decided to be a nurse and began her schooling to do so. Unfortunately this is the same time she began to fall ill. On April 6th, 2013, she married the love of her life, George Brown Sr. On Jan. 24th, 2021, she lost that love with the death of her cherished husband. Those 8 years of marriage were spent working on their greatest passion. Together they worked at the radio station WCMD, where George hosted a show called Jersey Jukebox. D’Shawna loved her days spent at the radio station laughing with friends and supporting her husband. It meant everything to her. D’Shawna lovely leaves a host of cherished family members, her mother Sheila Parham-Stokes, 3 brothers Darnell, Darryl, Deon, and her son NyQuahn.
