Gail Bethune McCann born at Mercy Hospital in Sea Isle City, New Jersey on May 11, 1959. She transitioned on January 9, 2022 at home. She was raised in Whitesboro, New Jersey, and loved traveling to South Carolina, the home of her dog “Sonny” whom she missed daily. Gail was a member of First Baptist Church of Whitesboro where she loved singing on the Junior Choir. A graduate of the Middle Township School System, Gail played Girls Basketball there. Before her transition Gail was employed with Shop-Rite of Rio Grande New Jersey in the Produce Department. She received multiple Employee Recognitions for always assisting Customers/Employees when called upon. Gail worked in the hospitality, retail and health care industries as well. Gail loved the outdoors, music, sports (Dallas Cowboys Fan, for Life & Los Angeles Lakers), as well as her family & friends. Most remembered for was her smile. That is something people will always remember about her. Gail is proceeded in death by her parents Randolph Nathaniel & Marie Joyce Bethune, Sister Margaret (Joyce), Brothers Bruce and Marshall, and her very best friend in life, Anthony Platt. She leaves to celebrate her life brothers Randy, Gary (Gladys), Robbie, Tracy, Floyd (Thelma), Thomas (Eliyahu Ben Nathaniel (Maria) and Sister Denise. Five Aunts, Florence (John) Jones, Edith Betts, Patricia James, Susie Faison, Betty Bethune and Josie Mae Betts. Her other best friend of 28 years Deborah Coover.
