Obituary of Michael W McLeod

Michael Warren McLeod of Mt. Holly, NJ, affectionately known as Mac, passed away suddenly on January 17th, 2022, at the age of 72. He was born December 31, 1949, in Auburn, NY to the late Josiah and Lola McLeod. Michael received his education at JFK High School in Willingboro, NJ and attended Burlington County College. Michael went on to work as an entrepreneur in carpentry and was employed at PSE&G. He was a former member of Holy Light Church of Jesus Christ. While a member, he offered his skills as the building and grounds keeper, musician, and graphic artist. He was an avid fan of Star Trek as well as a collector of the show’s memorabilia. Michael loved to offer his help and extend himself in anyway that he could. He was the kind of man who would willingly give you the shirt off his back. He was also very family oriented. Michael enjoyed taking walks, drinking coffee, and taking drives just because. He met his wife Yvette McLeod in 1996 in Atlanta, GA and married the following year on July 17th, 1997, where they maintained a special bond for 25 years. He leaves a legacy in his daughters, Loretta Ruffin (Tim); Catherine Taliaferro (Lamar) and Ashley Devone (Terrence). He is preceded in death by his brother Xavier McLeod (Holly). He leaves behind his siblings, Vaughn McLeod, Renee Peele, Trent McLeod (Karen), Tonia Tutt (Christopher), Wanda McKinney (Roosevelt) and Doreen McLaurin (Victor); his grandchildren William, Nassir, Mikkail, Aria, a great grandchild Jamari and a host of nieces and nephews.
