Marlene Deborah Harvey was born September 6, 1958, in Camden, NJ. Marlene at 63 years of age departed this life on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Jefferson Hospital, Washington Township, NJ.
Marlene attended the Deptford Township Public school system. She was voted prettiest girl at Deptford High School. She was a manager at KFC for five years and then moved to Paterson, NJ for five years. Marlene moved back home to help take care of her newborn grandchildren, and after a year of helping with her grandchildren, she became employed at American Auto Wire for 15 years. Marlene enjoyed taking care of her plants and many pets she had over the years. She loved watching sports, especially football and supporting her grandchildren by going to their games. Her favorite teams were the Eagles and the Baltimore Ravens. She loved watching court shows and the Investigation Discovery channel. She loved to dance and listen to her favorite songs. She also loved spending time with family and friends, and her special sister, Robin Jackson. Marlene loved to cook, and her specialties were fried chicken, cabbages, chitterlings. Marlene enjoyed life and lived it to its fullest. She was the sweetest person; and would help whoever needed it.
Marlene was preceded in death by her grandparents Thomas and Ella Harvey and “Puggie” and Dorothy Corsey.
Marlene leaves to cherish her memories her parents Howard, Sr, and Carol Jean Harvey of Woodbury, NJ, daughter Carmen Quianna (Maurice) Davis of Glassboro, NJ, son David “Booper” Johnson of Camden, NJ, brother Howell “Beetle” Harvey, Jr. of Paulsboro, NJ, nine grandchildren: Anthony Averett, Jr., Nyla Johnson, Alexis Davis, Maurice Davis, Jr., Kamrin Johnson, Devon Johnson, Karmello Johnson, Meky Johnson, and Araya Johnson, two great-grandchildren, Gia and Zoey Averett, two special nieces Ashley and Danielle Harvey, bonus daughter Jami Leigh-Williams, great nieces Amiya and Josh’Alynn, great nephew Antwone, great aunt Cecilia Sims, aunts Betty and Dorothy Corsey, uncles Morris Corsey, Ronald and Wallace Harvey, significant other, Preston Lewis, best friends Robin Jackson and Delores Bear and a host of cousins, family, and friends
