Obituary of Jessica R. Pearson
Please share a memory of Jessica to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jessica Ruth Pearson departed this life Wednesday February 23, 2022. Jessica was born November 19, 1950 to the late Robert Brown and Lilymae Brown Crocker of the Bronx, New York. She was the eldest and only daughter of three children. Jessica graduated from Evander Childs High School where she was a cheerleader. Jessica also received an Associates degree from Bronx Community College. Afterwards, Jessica became a case worker for the Department of Social Services, and then later worked for MTA as a bus operator. Jessica had a total of four children from her previous relationships and first marriage.
Jessica relocated to Westchester County in 1989 where she continued her education and received her Bachelor's degree in social work from Mercy College. Yonkers, New York is also where she rededicated her life to the Lord at Christian Love Tabernacle Church. Jessica served there as an usher, psalmist, choir director, and deacon. Three years later she married the love of her life, Eugene Pearson. Jessica and her family moved to New Jersey in the year 2000. Jessica’s quest to help others was limitless. She was the business owner of Jessica’s Classy Corner, she was a realtor for many years, she was a notary and loan signing agent, she became a case coordinator manager for Neuro Restorative, and she later worked at Oaks Integrated as a social worker. This multifaceted woman has served in her community as well as her ministry. In her later years, she was ordained as pastor of Church Without Walls.
Jessica loved to travel, laugh, and have fun. She loved her family events, she loved to sing, act, dance, and was in numerous plays and productions. To say the least, Jessica loved fashion and she was one of the classiest women that can put together an outfit whether dressed up or down. But most importantly, she committed her life to love and serve the Lord.
Jessica has lived a well rounded, fulfilled life. She studied the word of God and was a cheerful giver to many ministries. She had a saying “Only what you do for Christ will last”. Jessica’s prayers for many years has been that her family would all come to know the Lord and love Him as she did.
She leaves to mourn her devoted husband of 30 years, Eugene Pearson, her 4 children, Ronette Franklin Martin, Danylle Franklin, Anthony Pearson, Curtis Pearson, 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, her God-children, Yashica and Kenny, her two brothers, Robert Brown, Aaron Brown, her aunt, Cathleen S. Lindsay, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jessica has moved on from labor to reward. She will be missed by many but never forgotten.
