James E. Johnson affectionately known as “BJ” was born on October 2, 1963 to Willie James Johnson and Susan Johnson in Brundidge, Alabama.
James moved to Camden, with his parents at the age 4 years old. He was educated through the Camden City School in Camden.
He also became a self taught Auto Mechanic. He loved working on cars. In his leisure time he was always singing and listening to his music. He enjoyed all types of music. You would always see him riding around the neighborhood on his bicycle one hand holding a Big Boom Box on his shoulder and the other hand on his handle bars.
Although James was a Big Guy he was a Gentle Giant to all his nieces and nephews. They was always asking for piggy back rides all at the same time he loved every moment.
James is survived by his mother Susan Govan and father Willie James Johnson His 4 children Lakesha Gibson, Kyle Johns Corey Johnson, and Amirah Johnson, 4 siblings Cynthia Feliciano, Diana Johnson, Sandra Johnson, Hubert Johnson, aka Junior. A host of Aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
