Obituary of Deborah Ann Davis

Deborah Ann Davis affectionally known as Debbie was born at Mckinley Hospital in Trenton, New Jersey on November 12, 1950 to Frank C. Davis Sr. and Geraldine Davis. Debbie graduated from Camden High School in 1968 and went on to receive an Associates Degree in Human Services from Camden County College in Blackwood New Jersey. She also studied Sociology/Psychology at Rutgers University Camden campus. After college, Debbie pursued her career in social services, because of her love for the arts, Debbie also worked at the Walt Whitman Culture Arts Center where she assisted the Director in bringing multiple talented and well-known artists to Camden.  Debbie loved to travel. She vacationed in London, Paris, Rome, Cancun, Key West, Orlando and day trips to Chicago and Nashville. Debbie loved music. She ALWAYS listened to Butterball on WDAS every Sunday night and just like her mother, she also loved listening to Johnny Mathis. Most of all Debbie loved spending time with her family and friends.  She was a devoted caretaker of her disabled son Arvel “Arvie” Davis who preceded her in death.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory a lifelong partner Arvel V. Bishop,  two daughters, Michele Edwards and Angeline Davis. She leaves behind two grandchildren, Shanelle Edwards and Thomas Moorman. Six great grandchildren, Dasani Edwards, Mariah Moorman, Layla Edwards, Avery Moorman, Zayn Brock, and Yana Marie Moorman.  Preceding her in death are her parents Frank C. Davis, Sr. and Geraldine Davis.   She leaves behind two brothers Frank C. Davis Jr, Michael J. Davis,  one sister Karen Lynn Taylor and one brother who preceded her in death Jonathan Davis.  Debbie also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends to cherish her memory.
