Obituary of Reese E Thomas

Reese Emma Thomas, daughter of the late John and Viola Rolen was born on June 25, 1933, in Camden, New Jersey. She was called to her eternal resting place on May 16, 2022. She attended school in the Camden Public School system. She was later united in holy matrimony with the late Alvin G. Thomas of Ridgely, Maryland on September 6, 1952. She was a loving mother and grandmother until death. She worked for the Camden Board of Education at Powell School as a matron starting in 1967. She was a dedicated employee and later retired from the Board of Education in 1993. Reese was caring and devoted to her family, she loved to joke with family and friends and was always a joy to be around. She is survived by her four sons: Aaron (Yasmin) of Owings Mills, Maryland, Arnold (Shirley) of Elizabethton, Tennessee, Royal (Charmaine) of Williamstown, New Jersey, and Ronald of Ridgley, Maryland. One daughter: Rochelle of Sicklerville, New Jersey. Eight grandchildren: Natasha, Tierney (Marvin), Aaron II (Chloe), Arnold II, Everett, Ryan (Chasity), Taylor, and Royal II. Eleven great grandchildren: Tamya, Alexia, Heaven, Amare, Joshua, Calianna, Kairo, Kamron, Aubree, Braycen, and Li’Mora. Four sisters: Minister Marion McAllister of Sicklerville, New Jersey; Viola Rolen of Georgia, Sarah Gibson of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, and Lena Brinson (Howard) of Georgia. Three Brothers: John Roland (Leota) of Sicklerville, New Jersey, Joseph Rolen of Camden, New Jersey, and Samuel Rolen (Anna) of Willingboro, New Jersey. Special friends: Rita Chambers of Pennsylvania; Lois Hanson of Blackwood, New Jersey, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be missed by many!
