Obituary of Davita L. Martindale

Davita was born on May 15, 1966 in Camden New Jersey, daughter of Sarah F. Martindale and John Richard Holmes. Davita graduated from Camden High School in 1984, and attended Business school in Philadelphia Pennsylvania in 1985. She also attained a cosmetology license from Gordon Phillips Beauty School in University of Phoenix. Davita retired from Bank of America in Fort Worth Texas and worked part time with Mercedes Benz and Macy’s. She was employed at Fidelity Home Warranty until her death. Davita’s friends and family members applauded her courage of traveling across country and accomplishing everything she set out to do. Davita left Camden N.J. in 1988 and moved to California to provide a better life for her son, and in that mission she provided a safe and loving environment for Disheem. During that time in California, she also acquired a host of friends who she considered her extended family. Davita leaves behind one son, Disheem Shirkre Martindale, one step daughter Tahmara Seaforth, three step gran children, predeceased by brother Anthony Brown, surviving are Vincent Martindale and Glen Martindale, sisters Mellissa Martindale, Towanda Swain and Tanya Underwood Postles , one aunt four uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends –from NJ,CA, PA and TX.
